A lightweight contest between Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier has been added to UFC 211, which takes place in Dallas.

ESPN’s Brett Okamoto first reported the fight.

Alvarez (28-5) is the former UFC Lightweight Champion. The 33-year-old picked up his first UFC win at UFC 188, earning a split decision win over Gilbert Melendez, who later popped for performance enhancing drugs. Alvarez then defeated Anthony Pettis before stopping Rafael dos Anjos in the main event of UFC Vegas in July of 2016. In his most recent outing, the former Bellator Lightweight titleholder was stopped by Conor McGregor at UFC 205.

Poirier (21-5) has looked rejuvenated and unstoppable since his move to 155lbs. That move came following a first round knockout loss to Conor McGregor at UFC 178. “The Diamond” stopped Carlos Diego Ferreira and Yancy Medeiros, before taking a decision win over Joseph Duffy. He made it four wins in a row when he finished Bobby Green in the first round of their bout at UFC 199. Poirier then faced Michael Johnson in the UFC Hidalgo main event, but was stopped in the first round. In his most recent outing, the 28-year-old took a decision over Jim Miller at UFC 208.

UFC 211 takes place live from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas on May 13. The card is set to be headlined by a heavyweight championship fight between current champion Stipe Miocic, and Junior dos Santos, who is one of only two men to beat Miocic.
