Featherweight standout Dooho Choi is out of his scheduled UFC 214 bout against Andre Fili, it emerged today.
Fili announced the news on Twitter, but insisted he still intends to fight at the event.
Choi is out. Doesn’t matter. I’m only focused on what I can control. I’ll be ready July 29th to beat someone up.

Fili (16-4) had a lot of hype behind him coming into the UFC, but his tenure thus far hasn’t gone completely to plan. Following a stoppage win at UFC 166 over Jeremy Larsen, Fili lost to Max Holloway, before defeating Felipe Arantes. In his next bout, the TAM product was submitted by Godofredey Pepey. Rebounding with a win, “Touchy” stopped Gabriel Benitez before ending up on the wrong end of a highlight reel KO from Yair Rodriguez. In his most recent outing, Fili defeated Hacran Dias.
Following his original tweet, he followed with this, calling out Artem Lobov.
