Germaine de Randamie, who is the first ever UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion, has been stripped of her belt. Cris Cyborg and Megan Anderson will now fight for the belt at UFC 214.

The promotion announced the news on Monday.

The Dutchwoman, who captured the inaugural title against Holly Holm in the main event of UFC 208, stated that she would not fight Cris Cyborg, and was shortly thereafter stripped.

Cyborg (17-1, 1NC) is undefeated in her last eighteen fights, recording 17-wins with one No Contest. Since the NC, the Brazilian has won seven straight bouts. Following a 2016 UFC signing, she has gone 2-0, defeating Leslie Smith and Lina Lansberg.

Anderson (8-2) is the Invicta FC Women’s Featherweight Champion. She won the interim belt last time out when she defeated Charmaine Tweet at Invicta FC 21. The Australian is riding a four fight win streak, with her last loss coming by way of submission to Cindy Dandois.

UFC 214 takes place live from the Honda Centre in Anaheim, California on July 29, 2017. The card is headlined by a light heavyweight championship fight between Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones.
