A middleweight bout between Cezar ‘Mutante’ Ferreira and Jack Hermansson has been announced for UFC Fight Night 100 in Sao Paulo.

Sources close to Combate.com confirmed the news to them.

Ferreira (10-5 MMA, 6-3 UFC) put together three successive wins to start his UFC career, but his run was halted by CB Dolloway, who stopped the Brazilian in less than a minute. Following the loss, ‘Mutante’ defeated Andrew Craig before back to back first round KO losses to Sam Alvey and Jorge Masvidal. Ferreira faced Oluwale Bamgbose in his first bout of 2016, and won the fight via decision. In his most recent outing, Ferreira took a decision win over Anthony Smith.

Hermansson (14-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) went 2-0 in 2015, with a stoppage over Karlos Vemola at WFS 4 and a decision over Maciej Rozanki and Venator FC 2. His first fight in 2016 was against Alan Carlos at Cage Warriors 75. Hermnasson was attempting to defend his middleweight title for the first time since Cage Warriors’ hiatus. The Swede knocked out Carlos in the third round, making the second defence of his middleweight title. Hermansson then faced Ireneusz Cholewa at Venator FC 3, and walked away with a third round TKO. In his UFC debut, Hermansson faced Englishman Scott Askham, and won the bout via decision after an exciting contest.

UFC Fight Night 100 takes place live from the Ginasio do Ibirapuera in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The card is set to be headlined by a pivotal light heavyweight bout between Alexander Gustafsson and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
