Nunes (14-4) is coming off the biggest win of her career thus far, as in her last bout she stopped Ronda Rousey in under one minute. That win marked her fifth in a row, with Shayna Baszler, Sara McMann, Valentina Shevchenko, and Miesha Tate the other names on that list.
Shevchenko (14-2) will be looking for revenge in this fight, as her only UFC loss came to Amanda Nunes. That was in her second promotional bout, since then, “Bullet” has defeated Holly Holm by decision, and Julianna Pena via second round submission.
UFC 213 takes place live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 8, 2017.
