A light heavyweight bout between Alexander Gustafsson and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira is expected to take place at UFC Fight Night 100.

Brazilian outlet Combate reported the news first.

Gustafsson (17-4 MMA, 9-4 UFC) has had a tough last few years, starting with his loss to then champion Jon Jones. Jones and Gustafsson met at UFC 165 and after a back and forth war which eventually earned Fight of the Night honours, Jones walked away the victor. “The Mauler” returned six months later in the Main Event of UFC Fight Night 37, which took place in London. Englishman Jimi Manuwa was the man in the way of Gustafsson, but The Swede finished the bout in the second round. Gustafsson then faced Anthony Johnson in his home country of Sweden, but was finished with strikes for the first time in his career in the first round. Coming off the loss, Gustafsson fought for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship for the second time, this time against Daniel Cormier. After another five round war that earned FOTN honours, Gustafsson was on the wrong end of the judges scorecards. In his most recent outing, Gustafsson walked away with a decision victory over Jan Blachowicz at UFC Hamburg.

Nogueira (22-7 MMA, 5-4 UFC) debuted in the UFC at UFC 106, and stopped Luiz Cane with punches in just under two minutes. The Brazilian then faced Jason Brilz, and walked away with a split decision victory. At UFC 119, Nogueira lost a decision to Ryan Bader before being outpointed by Phil Davis in the main event of UFC Fight Night 24. Nogueira got back to winning ways with a TKO victory over Tito Ortiz at UFC 140 before upsetting the odds, and defeating Rashad Evans by decision at UFC 156. The theme of winning two, losing two continued, as Nogueira lost to Anthony Johnson, and then Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua. In his most recent outing, Nogueira stopped Patrick Cummins with strikes in the first round of their bout at UFC 198.

UFC Fight Night 100 is set to take place on Nov. 19.
