Irish lightweight Ryan Roddy, who was set to return at Cage Warriors 80 next month, has suffered a broken foot, and has been forced to pull out.
Roddy announced the news via Facebook.
Roddy (7-1-1) was set to return to the cage for the first time since September of 2015, when he fought to a draw with current Cage Warriors lightweight champion Chris Fishgold. Roddy’s inactivity following the fight was mainly due to the Irishman taking part in the Channel 4 Series SAS: Who Dares Wins. Roddy was one of two contestants on the show to complete the course.
Cage Warriors 80 takes place live from the 02 Arena in London, England on February 18th. The card is set to be headlined by a welterweight title fight between Matt Inman and Karl Amoussou.
