An amateur welterweight contest between Paul Bentley and Josh Roberts has been added to Tanko Fighting Championships 3.

The fight was announced through the official Tanko FC Facebook page.

Bentley (2-3) made his amateur debut against Conor Riordan at FCC 9 , but was submitted in the second round. The ASW product rebounded from the debut loss at Budo Fighting Champinship 6, where he submitted Will Cairns in the first round. His next appearance came at SHINOBI WAR 6, where he lost to now interim welterweight champion Andreas Tricomitis. Once again rebounding from the loss, Bentley stopped Leon Clarke in the second round of their bout at Fightstar Championship 6. In his most recent bout, which took place at Cage Warriors 78, Bentley was submitted by Jared Southwell in the first round. If he keeps going the way he has thus far in his MMA career, Bentley is due a win in this one.

Roberts (2-0) initially started his MMA career in 2014, where he faced Tom White at SHINOBI WAR 3. A first round submission in just over a minute impressed fans and Roberts had a lot of momentum behind him. To the surprise of fans, we didn’t see the Welshman in the cage again for over two years, with Roberts finally returning at ICE FC 18. Roberts dropped weight from 185lbs, to a catchweight of 176 in his second bout, and picked up a decision victory over Kaylen Johnson in the Macron Stadium.

Tanko FC 3 takes place live from the Victoria Warehouse on February 11, 2017.
