UFC veteran and all around lovable MMA character Nam Phan has officially retired from the sport. The decision comes after his loss to Robert Whiteford at ACB 54.
The American announced the news on his Facebook page just hours after the bout.
Phan (21-17) is currently riding only the second three fight skid of his 38-fight career. All of them losses have come by submission. The 33-year-old was tapped by Andy Main at Pancrase 270 before being submitted by Masakazu Imanari at DEEP Cage Impact 2016. At ACB 54, Phan was choked unconscious in under one minute by a Robert Whiteford guillotine.
