Englishman Mike Grundy made the trip over to Japan to face Yutaka Saito in his home country, and picked up a win in style.
If you’ve watched Grundy before, you know he’s a relentless wrestler with a dangerous top game. The Team Kaobon product has now won six fights on the run, with four stoppages.
The commonwealth medalist imposed his game on Saito tonight, and decisively won the fight. There is an argument there that Grundy could have had a 10-8 round in the third frame.
It’ll certainly be interesting to see what’s next for the Englishman, and whether he decides to head back to Japan for his next fight, or do it in the comfort of his own country.
