At 4-0 in pro MMA, former pro American football player Eryk Anders looks to keep his undefeated streak alive as he takes on Jesse Grun in the main event of Valor Fights 37. After playing college football at the top football school in the country, Alabama, Anders made his way around the NFL, CFL, and even the Arena Football League. After his football career finalised he walked into an MMA gym and started sparring. Although many think football and MMA have some similarities Anders does not, he said the training and competition is totally different, from footwork to movement. Although there aren’t many similarities in Anders opinion, he believes the transition has been beyond successful as he held a 19-3-1 amateur record and currently holds a 4-0 record as a pro.

Anders faces Jesse Grun on Saturday August 27th. He feel Grun is the best match for him. Erik believes he is overall a better martial artist than Jesse and he plans to prove it. The American feels like his next fight is always his toughest, no matter who the opponent is, and he sees himself getting his hand raised on Saturday, as he has done in every one of his professional bouts so far.

Eryk Anders has 23 wins in mixed martial arts competition to be exact, but his last one was most memorable for him, why? Because it was his most recent. Whether Anders is fighting a world class fighter or somebody who has been dragged in off the street, he always has a winning mindset, because it’s all he knows. As of now Anders says his most prized MMA accomplishment is being 4-0 as a pro. Since starting MMA, his biggest goal has been to one day become UFC champion, and with every victory, that dreams gets closer and closer to becoming reality.

Eryk Anders fights Jesse Grun in the main event of Valor Fights 37 tomorrow, August 27.
