Another bundle of fight announcements have been sent our way ahead of FightStar Championship 10.

The amateur flyweight, bantamweight, welterweight and middleweight titles will be on the line when FightStar returns to the North Bridge Leisure Centre in Halifax on May 20th.

Atop the amateur undercard is a FightStar middleweight title tilt featuring uber-prospects Justin Burlinson (14-1-0) of the Dungeon MMA and SBG Manchester’s George Smith (6-0-0). Burlinson will be looking to extend his win-streak to fourteen when he battles Smith, who recently submitted Danny Mullins (5-2-0) with an anaconda choke at CSFC 17.

The vacant European Welterweight Championship will also be up for grabs when Coventry’s Cory Beldon (7-0-0) and Latvian Madars Fleminas (7-1-0) collide. Beldon transitions from the Battle Arena promotion, where he held their amateur welterweight belt, whilst Fleminas, who is also known as “The Latvian Express”, has stopped six of his last seven conquests.

Luke Westwood (11-1-0) will be hoping to bounce back from the first defeat of his amateur career when he challenges for Kiru Singh Sahota (9-4-0)’s FightStar bantamweight strap. Westwood, a teammate of the aforementioned Burlinson, will look to add another scalp to his amateur resume, which already includes the likes of James Cox (7-2-0), Harry Hardwick (5-1-0) and Alexander Campbell (5-1-0). Singh, a semi-finalist at the 2016 IMMAF European Open Championships, claimed the title with a second round submission win at at FightStar Championship 6.

Last, but certainly not least is a salivating contest between two of the UK’s most exciting flyweight prospects, Jake Hadley (6-2-0) and Jack Temple (5-2-0). Hadley, a product of UTC Birmingham, will look to defend the title he claimed one year ago after submitting Warren Mason (7-9-0) with a gogoplata. Temple comes into this championship contest on the heels of his biggest success as an amateur, a 36-second submission win over SBG prospect Abdul Chowdrey (6-2-0).
