The Tanko Weekender takes place between May 12-14, kicking off with Tanko Fighting Championship 4 on the Friday, Muay Thai league 2 on Saturday, culminating with the inaugural Tanko Submission Championship on Sunday.
To kick things off with a bang, an amateur flyweight title bout has been added to the Friday night. Burgeoning prospect, Muhammad Mokaev (5-0) is set to defend his belt against UKMMAF representative, Warren Mason (7-9).
Mokaev won the belt back in February, taking the unanimous decision over another prospect in Liam Gittins. Despite having only five fights under his belt, the ‘Black Tiger’ is already being touted as one to watch on the regional scene.
Mason will enter the fight looking to break a winless streak having lost his previous four bouts. This will also be Mason’s fourth regional title shot of his career, having competed for belts in CSFC, FightStar and more recently, UK Fighting Championships.
Tanko Fighting Championship 4 takes place at the Victoria Warehouse, Manchester on May 12 as part of the Tanko Weekender. Tickets for all three dates are available HERE.
