“Stormin” Norman Parke was born on December 22, 1986. He grew up in Bushmills, Northern Ireland. Before MMA, Parke trained in judo, wrestling, and boxing. He converted to MMA at the age of 20 in 2006.

Following a submission loss in his professional MMA debut, the Northern Irishman won ten straight fights. He then faced now UFC fighter Joseph Duffy, but lost the bout via submission. Rebounding from his second loss, Parke put together six wins before joining The Ultimate Fighter: Smashes. Parke won the tournament, defeating Colin Fletcher in the finals. He then went on to defeat Kazuki Tokudome and Jon Tuck before fighting to a draw with Leonardo Santos.

At UFC Dublin in 2014, Parke picked up his first stoppage win in the UFC, when he defeated Naoyuki Kotani via TKO in the second round. In both of his next two fights, Parke lost via split decision to Gleison Tibau and Francisco Trinaldo respectively. He returned to winning ways when he took a decision win over Reza Madadi at UFC Dublin in 2015.

In what turned out to be his final UFC bout, Parke lost via decision to Rustan Khabilov at UFC London. In October of 2016, he fought outside the UFC for the first time since 2012. In that bout at ACB 47, Parke defeated Andrew Fisher via decision.

The 30-year-old’s next fight will be at BAMMA 28, where he will face fellow UFC veteran Paul Redmond in the main event of the show. BAMMA 28 takes place live from the SSE Arena Belfast in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Feb. 24, 2017.
