The Sprawl can today reveal that the flyweight amateur title will be on the line at BCMMA 19 on May 6.

Reigning 125lbs champion, Leigh Mitchell (8-2) is putting his belt on the line again having recently defended the strap against Jack Eglin at BCMMA 18, walking away that night with the unanimous decision.

Standing across the cage from Mitchell on May 6 will be Oslo Fight Centre’s Luan Jashari Frantzen (3-0). The undefeated Norwegian last competed at BCMMA 12 in 2015, though was originally scheduled to face Mitchell last February.

Also on the card that night, interim amateur welterweight champion, Jorgen Indsetviken (8-3) will have the chance to get his hands on the unified title when he takes on Alex Elsey (4-2).

Indsetviken defeated Arthur Jacob at BCMMA 15 to claim the temporary gold, submitting his opponent in the opening stanza.

This won’t be the first time Indsetviken and Elsey have met, the two clashed previously at the 2016 IMMAF European Open Championships, with Indsetviken the victor that night by way of a third round submission.

BCMMA 19 takes place at the Charter Hall, Colchester on May 6. Tickets are available HERE.
