It looks like Catherine Costigan (5-2), who was featured on the promotion’s poster for the event, has an opponent for Cage Warriors 81 in Dublin.
According to her Tweet, Wendy McKenna (1-0) is set to face the Invicta FC veteran.
McKenna most recently competed at BCMMA 17 in December, making a victorious transition to the professional ranks. Before this, the BKK Fighters representative had gone 3-3 as an amateur.
Costigan will be returning to the cage for the first time in over a year. “The Alpha Female” last competed at BAMMA 22, losing a second consecutive bout by way of submission. Costigan initially went 5-0 as professional and 2-0 as an amateur before tasting defeat.
Cage Warriors 81 takes place at the 3Arena in Dublin, on March 4. Tickets are on sale from February 1, starting at just €15 for early bird tickets.
