Following on from FightStar Championship’s main event announcement last week, The Sprawl can now exclusively the co-headliner as well.
In a contest that will have many #UKMMA fans salivating, uber-prospect Harry Marple (3-1) returns to the cage for the first time in a year to battle Alex Lohore (9-1) for the vacant FightStar Championship welterweight belt .
‘Dirty’ Harry Marple (3-1) has been touted as one-to-watch ever since his unbeaten amateur career, which featured seven stoppage victories inside his eight wins. Marple made the transition to professional mixed martial arts in late 2014 and continued his fine run of form in his first three fights, finishing his all three opponents. Marple, however, hit a bump in the road last November, losing to the ever-underrated Shane Gunfield.
After claiming the UCMMA welterweight crown in his most recent outing, Alex Lohore (9-1) will seek to add another belt to his trophy cabinet when he takes on Marple. Lohore is another man who rarely requires the judges’ assistance, going the distance only twice since turning professional in 2014.
FightStar Championship 8 is set to go down on Saturday, December 10 from the Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre, in West London. Tickets can be purchased HERE. Other high profile matches are due to be announced, so as always, keep your eyes peeled geezers and gazelles, as The Sprawl has you covered.
