Cage Warriors Fighting Championship are set to return to Liverpool following the success of their last two shows in the city.

The Sprawl learned from multiple anonymous sources close to the event.

A star was born at Cage Warriors 78 in Liverpool, where hometown favourite Paddy Pimblett captured the featherweight championship and Chris Fishgold defended his belt. That event took place in September of 2016 before the promotion returned in April of this year.

On April 1, Cage Warriors returned to the city, for Cage Warriors 82, where both Pimblett and Fishgold were scheduled to defend their titles. Unfortunately for the scouse fans, Fishgold was forced to pull off the card due to injury. The misery piled up as multiple hometown fighters lost on the night, including Pimblett, who dropped a decision to Nad Narimani, losing his 145lb strap.

Although unable to reveal the exact date, our sources confirmed that the show would be taking place in October. Lightweight champion Chris Fishgold is already confirmed for the card and we’re told that Pimblett is a likely addition.
