According to John Danaher, Gordon Ryan‘s coach, Jeff Monson has withdrawn from his scheduled match at Submission Underground 3 tonight. In his place steps Joe Baize, a BJJ black belt who is known for having an extremely technical and aggressive leg lock game. Baize competed on EBI 8 and whilst he didn’t win the tournament, he put on some strong performances and his willingness to step up on late notice against Ryan can only be commended.
Hopefully, this will be the last withdrawal from tonight’s card, which has already seen Hector Lombard withdraw from his bout with Gary Tonon.
