After a couple of weeks ‘hiatus’, Fight To Win Pro is back on March 3 and this time it’s headlined by a female heavyweight Gi title match between newly minted black belt Nathiely Karoline and veteran black belt, Tammy Griego.
Karoline is a world champion in No-Gi and a European champion in the Gi and since getting her black belt six months ago, has been tearing up the competition scene with no sign of stopping any time soon. Griego is a veteran black belt and ADCC medalist, who is one of the more active female competitors on the Jiu Jitsu scene. However, Karoline will be full of confidence following her win at the recent European championships and will be the heavy favourite coming in to this match.
The co-main event is between ADCC runner up Bruno Frazzato and multiple time IBJJF medalist, Gabriel Martins. Both Frazzato and Martins are accomplished grapplers and have competed at the highest level, with Frazzato edging out Martins in the honours stakes. Frazzato has spent a lot of time recently honing his MMA skills, so it’s unclear how he’ll adapt to be back competing in the Gi, which could give Martins the edge in this contest.
