BAMMA Heavyweight Champion Mark ‘The hand of’ Godbeer has signed a four fight deal with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Godbeer’s management, Duello Sports Management announced the news on Facebook.

Godbeer (11-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) made his BAMMA debut at BAMMA 9 and after extending his record to 8-1 with a first round win, the Englishman faced UFC veteran Cheick Kongo in the main event of Bellator 102. Following the loss, Godbeer was out for just under two years, but returned at BAMMA 19 with a first round stoppage of Thomas Denham. “The hand of” then faced Paul Taylor in the co-main event of BAMMA 21 for the vacant heavyweight strap, and stopped Taylor late in the second round. In his lone bout in 2016 so far, Godbeer stopped former teammate Stuart Austin to make the first defence of his title at BAMMA 25.

No opponent, or date has been set for Godbeer yet.
