ACB returned to the British isles yesterday night with their 54th offering, the Mancunian baiting ‘Supersonic’.
Headliner Luke Barnatt was hoping to end the night with three belts (Venator, ACB, KSW), while we’re not quite sure how that was ever possible, a win over Mamed Khalidov would certainly have warranted some kind of accolade – a return to the UFC, perhaps? Sadly, it was not to be. Khalidov channeled his inner So Solid Crew, taking only 21 seconds to get the Brit out of there.
There were UK stars aplenty on the card, from the TUF rematch between Brendan Loughnane and Mike Wilkinson to top ranked lightweight, Saul Rogers. But it was the Polish contingent in attendance who seemed to be having the better night.
