Three bouts have been added to the BAMMA 29 Preliminary Card. A featherweight showdown between Ronnie Mann and Daniel Crawford is on tap, as well as a Lightweight contest between Rick Selvarajah and Jai Herbert and a Welterweight scrap between Dan Cassell and Josh Plant.
BAMMA announced the news moments ago via a press release, which said this:
Ronnie ‘Iron’ Mann is set for an immediate comeback after coming up short against Damien ‘Frankenstein’ Lapilus in his title bout at BAMMA 28. Standing across from him will be the exceptionally highly regarded Daniel Crawford, in what is set to be a spectacular Featherweight bout. Crawford knows that Ronnie Mann would be the biggest scalp of his career so far, whilst a win for Mann puts him right back on track towards another potential title shot.
It’s a battle of the former Lonsdale challengers as Lightweights Rick Selvarajah & Jai Herbert collide in a bout that is sure to be nothing short of total excitement. Selvarajah has recently put pen to paper on a contract extension with the promotion as a marker of his intentions to head to the top of the Lightweight division. However, Herbert will provide a serious threat to those hopes with his no nonsense striking style backing up his own ambitions.
Additionally, two of the UK’s top up and coming Welterweight prospects will clash on May 12th. Having recently signed a multi fight deal with BAMMA, the highly touted Welterweight Josh ‘Power’ Plant will take on Dan ‘Porkchop’ Cassell as both fighters look to put themselves on the ladder towards the top of the division and eventual title glory.
“I’m still buzzing about signing a multi-fight deal with BAMMA, who are the top promotion in Europe. Dan Cassell is a great first opponent for me. He’s skilled and always game for a fight, but I’m always confident in my abilities. This is my chance to show everyone why I’m the one to watch in the welterweight division. Make sure to buy your ticket for May 12th. I’ll be putting on a show for you all.” – Josh ‘Power’ Plant
